    Soft, absorbent and just beautiful

    I received 4 of these beauties as a housewarming gift. I was more than happy to buy 4 more to complete the set. The colors are rich, so the mats look great with plain white dishes as well as my growing collection of random East Fork pieces in Black Mountain, Panna Cotta and Heron Blue. The woven fabric is soft and absorbent so condensation from a sweaty glass won’t seep through to the table. That sounds oddly specific but it’s a pet peeve of mine to have a placemat that liquids can get through to damage the underlying table.

    I have used the placemats a couple of times, had to spot clean a couple. I have not washed them and will avoid it as long as possible as I fear what washing will do to their perfectly rectangular shape.
