Birchwood Paring Knife
Masseur Birch is the name for wood from the Birch Tree gone rogue—when small pieces from the outside of the green overgrow as the tree’s heart expands. The flecks you see in the wood are specks of the bark that have grown into the grain of the wood.
To clean, wipe the blade with a cloth and warm water and a little mild detergent. No need to go wild with scrubbing—it should wipe off pretty easily. Don’t let the handle sit in water—it might warp!
