The Small Batch Studio

What is the Small Batch Studio exactly? Well, we’re not ready to make a big, written in stone mission statement about what it is and isn’t. We’re not even ready to say that its name is officially and forever “The Small Batch Studio” Our five-year vision for this little corner of the factory is still a fuzzy simulacrum, just starting to take shape.

Right now the Small Batch Studio is a place to play, explore, troubleshoot, make beautiful things, and make ugly things. More concretely, it’s the corner of the factory where you’ll find Amanda throwing pots on a wheel—in the same way that all of the plates, bowls, vases, mugs, rundlets, ten gallons and so on were once made at East Fork. We’re not chasing nostalgia, though.
