Seconds Sale Announcement

Seconds Sale Announcement

Dear Community,

At 7pm EST, we'll be making all of our seconds inventory available for purchase. It will be the largest number of seconds-pots we've ever posted online—twice as many as our November seconds sale. They will be discounted at 30%. All purchases will be final sale. They will all still be functional, beautiful, and safe—they just won't meet our high standards for first-quality pieces.

You'll be able to find them here. (They're not there yet, though!)

These pots might take a long time to get to you. Maybe 2 weeks, maybe 2 months. In this constantly changing landscape, it is highly likely that our fulfillment team will have to close up shop and go home for a bit. The same goes for USPS and UPS. We're trusting you will be understanding and patient, not just with us, but with yourself and your neighbors. We're trusting you to trust us that we will get your pots to you as soon as we're safely able to. You're going to use and love these pieces for a lifetime—in all the ups and downs still to come. We hope you'll find they're worth waiting to receive.

The last 48 hours we've been making decisions that both curb the spread of disease and give our small but growing business a chance to get on the other side of this. Your support in this critical moment would be so deeply appreciated. Having cash on hand now means making sure our team of 80 can continue being paid, won't have to see a lapse in benefits, and have a job to return to when we've all done our part to stymie this global pandemic.

We made this decision about 6 hours ago. Two weeks ago we had very different plans for getting these seconds into people's homes. Those plans involved a 6 week pot-lugging trip through Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles; it involved pop-ups and get-togethers at Counter Culture Coffee tasting rooms; Mother's Day potlucks at Malibu Beach with the girls at Dôen, mezcal tastings and Oaxacan dinner parties with the Yola team, panel discussions with Fireclay Tile, tortilla making classes with Sideyard Farms, and so much more. We're going to throw those parties some other time.

Our Customer Care team will be available to answer any questions you might have, but please do recognize that they might be a little busier than usual.

Stay home if you're able—it's how we're going to get through this quickly. Share what you can—there's more than enough for all to go around if we do.

With love and gratitude,

Connie & the East Fork Team
