Tea for One (Large)

$130.00 $146.00

  • The East Fork Mug in Panna Cotta or Pinto, like all East Fork pottery, is microwave and dishwasher safe.
  • Our pottery is made by humans in Asheville, North Carolina. Differences in glaze applications and surfaces are there to embrace.
  • An eight ounce tin of Hu-Kwa loose black tea that’s distinctive for its mellow, smoky flavor and comes from the venerable Mark T. Wendell Tea Company.
  • A Finum brewing basket with micro-fine stainless steel permanent filter.
  • Raw creamed honey from the Oakhurst Apiary outside Atlanta, Georgia. Due to the natural state of the honey, separation may occur, stir gently prior to using. Store in a cool, dry place.'
  • A large Tender Earth candle to soothe and reflect

Your Mug—in this case, one in beautiful core glaze Panna Cotta or limited glaze Pinto—becomes the steeping vessel thanks to this ingenious brewing basket. Put the brewing basket in your empty Mug. Add one rounded teaspoon of tea. Bring cold, filtered water to a rolling boil (205-212° F) then carefully fill the Mug. Close the lid and steep for five minutes or so. Stir, and let the tea settle for another thirty seconds before removing the basket.

Do you take honey, honey? A jar of creamed, unfiltered honey from Georgia is included here, along with our very own Tender Earth candle, created by Alex and Connie Matisse and poured in a reusable clay vessel where you might someday store your teaspoons.
