Weeknight Serving Bowl
Easily our most reached for serving dish, and the piece we recommend most frequently as a wedding gift. Perfect for family-style salads, pasta, vegetable sides, or sitting pretty on your island holding apples all fall.
Please note: All of our pottery is made by humans in Asheville, North Carolina, with dynamic, regional, lead-free stoneware clays. Slight variations should be expected and embraced! Our work is dishwasher and microwave safe and made for daily use.
"It feels like I am holding earth. It is solid, it's heavy, and it's simple. Look at that. It's got mojo." - Lillian Childress
"Real talk: I'm deeply obsessed with my East Fork Pottery dishes. The forms are perfect, they're super well-fired and durable, and the glazes are to die for." -@flacdelloro
What to Expect
When purchasing large pieces from East Fork, please do keep in mind that we use minimally-refined materials and glaze by hand. Our Weeknight Serving Bowl and our Mixing Bowl are the biggest pieces we currently carry—that means more surface area for things to get funky. On smaller items that we produce in much larger quantities, we’re more cutthroat on what we pull as a second. We’re a bit more forgiving on these finicky, beautiful Weeknight Serving Bowls. We hope you’ll love these idiosyncrasies as much as we do! Here are a few variations you might see on this pot.
Cierra, our resident Superwoman/Forming Lead, makes just about every Weeknight Serving Bowl on the shelves. That’s a lot of clay! Ripple marks, photographed here, will sometimes appear on this larger, Jiggered form.
These organic line breaks on the rim of Weeknight Serving Bowls can appear every now and then. When they follow the line of the pot, they can make for a beautiful feature.
Each pot that we sell is glazed by hand - carefully dipped, rotated, and handled by the six humans that make up our Glaze Team. With more surface area, comes more variation in glaze thickness and color.
