Vivid & Expressive

La Sirène is East Fork’s nod to the iconic blue hue that Henri Matisse used in many of his cut-outs. The color evoked for him volume, distance and quietude—not melancholy. Our blue was designed to layer into The Matisse Collection, providing a monochromatic block of color to contrast against the richness of our creamy Panna Cotta glaze. Blues are notoriously hard to make, and our version speaks to the blue in the decals but offers a slight tonal departure.

    La Sirène 💙

    She’s beautiful. NGL she looks a lot like lapis. Which is fine. I’m a NIGHT SWIM girl and the blues vibe nicely. I voted for fiddlehead as the next comeback color. We’ll see, they are all beautiful. I’m actually IN LOVE with the thistle/amaro combo right now! I’ve been sleeping on AMARO! Anyhew, here’s our welcome to family mugshot! Hahaha thanks for asking!

    A new mug family addition!

    I thought I was finished adding to my The Mug collection, but I saw the beautiful blue of the La Sirène, and knew I had to get it. It's even more beautiful in person than expected, and like all The Mugs, excellent for a nice cup of tea (or whatever your favorite hot beverage is). My favorite feature of The Mug is the way it holds heat. The other day I steeped some tea for my wife, and forgot about it until about 40 minutes later (I normally steep tea for 15 minutes, using a paper towel on top to help keep the heat in). After I belatedly went to get my wife's tea, it was still hot! No other cup or mug I own would have still been hot after that long.
