Through the Lens of Anna Rawls

Our spring color trio on film, part 2.

We asked three photographers to capture our spring trio on film to show off the varying nature in different settings. Each one was hand-picked by someone on our team, bringing a personal connection to the way the colors were seen and captured.

“I was first introduced to Anna's work in college, and have followed their work ever since! Their photography captures a feeling I return to again and again: nostalgic and thought-provoking, simple yet deeply emotive.”

“I've had so much fun directing and styling for shoots lately while also leaning into having fun with personal photo work as the seasons shift & this feels like it exists at the intersection of both.

As soon as the pottery arrived at my door, I knew I’d be photographing these colors on film. I was inspired to capture scenes of fleeting spring moments with big feeling: the first rooftop dinner party of the season, the way the shifting sunlight now hits your dining area at 8am.

Gone in an instant but leaving a mark, these colors remind me of the beauty of this season of reawakening in New York — both the moments you share and the moments you hold for yourself." -Anna Rawls
