Don Barber built boats for 40 years before scaling things down a bit. These functional myrtlewood and copper garden trugs have been built by hand since 1979 in the Pacific Northwest community of Coos Bay, Oregon. The oblong shape is useful for picking dahlias, carrying zucchini around the farmers' market or storing hand towels in the bathroom.
