Red Clay Original Hot Sauce

A hot commodity, with a fun back story. This sauce was originally made by a chef at an oyster bar in Charleston, South Carolina. When patrons started swiping bottles from the bar, he knew he was on to something good. The sauce starts with sweet, mild fresno chili peppers and French white wine vinegar, fermented for a complex, balanced flavor. It’s not overly hot, so lay it on!

Why we love it:

•  A riff on an old family recipe
• Full bodied with a complex flavor and the right amount of heat
• The Carolinas are known for their iron-rich red clay. This red clay is what drew our founders Alex and John here to make pottery
