Small Oval Platter

The Small Oval Platter makes a lot out of a little space. Its narrow shape squeezes easily onto a crowded table, with just enough room for caviar and chips, anchovies on toast, or a wedge of Camembert. When dinner’s over, put it to work corralling keys, soap, matches or other small things around the house.

— Our pottery is made by humans and reduction-fired in Asheville, North Carolina. Any differences in glaze applications and surfaces are there to embrace.

Dishwasher and microwave safe
Avoid open flames or preheated ovens. Our pots are oven safe up to 350° but must start in a cool oven and be brought up to heat gradually (think crème brûlée).
Over time, your pots might accumulate mild cutlery marks. These can be buffed off with warm water and scouring powder such as Bar Keeper's Friend. More information.

Narrow and low, Oval Platters give you room to serve without taking over the table. Three sizes cover everything from anchovies and toast for one to a whole fish for the table. Out of the kitchen, use these to corral soap, candles, keys or other odds and ends.

Our Large Oval Platter stretches 18 inches long, but stops at 11.5 inches wide, just under the 12-inch depth of a standard upper kitchen cabinet.

Long and relatively narrow, the Oval Platters slip between bowls, glasses and all the other things already crowding the table or buffet.

Oval Platters have a way of wandering into other rooms. Leave one in the entryway for keys and sunglasses, keep soaps and bottles together in the bathroom, or give jewelry and other small things a place to land.

Beyond Servingware
