A silhouette with historical antecedents in medieval English baluster jugs, the Carafe is tall enough to hold water for the table, a bottle of wine, or a handful of wispy stems. The simplified curves create a neck that can be easily gripped, poured from and passed around.
Each Carafe is handthrown by East Fork co-founder John Vigeland in Asheville, North Carolina.
Why we love it:
A refined spout makes for mess-free pouring
Variation shows the hands of the maker, no two are exactly the same
A scaled up version of The Creamer, released earlier this spring
Dimensions: 3.5" opening, 4.1" bottom, 10.5" H
Fits 1.1 L to brim, 1 L comfortably
Weight: 1.6 lbs
Material: Stoneware
Made in Asheville, NC, Hand thrown by John V.

Behind the Design
“The Carafe design is meant to follow on the creamer we released earlier this year. With current constraints at the factory, we have not been able to offer shapes like this, so it felt natural to explore with the relative freedom of the pottery wheel.” - John Vigeland
